NOTICE on Current Update for Elkhorn River as of 7/26/20:

Wogg says…”sure hope we have a great amount of rain this afternoon overnight!”

This afternoon, it is almost at 2.3’…and as NRD Kyle told me on Friday….”he said river levels are pretty lazy”…meaning slow or more walkin’ than paddlin’.

As soon as we get higher levels, we will be posting guided Elkhorn River trips (rentals/or your own).

On Friday, Papio Missouri River NRD Kyle Winn, updated us he has taken a new position within the NRD. He has been our main contact… who has been in charge of the area rivers..who has provided WoggWorks Kayaking  with our NRD permit, always let us know ahead when rivers were going to be closed or open, before formal announcement..and could share our river, access concerns with him. Wogg Christy told him we would be prayin’ for a “real rainmaker this weekend since he is training a new guy, as he took on new NRD position.”

We have appreciated all the work NRD Kyle has done to keep all the Elkhorn and Platte River access areas clean and updated after any form of high water, flooding…especially  the 2019 flood. He also is on the Waterloo Rescue – Fire Dept.

Future possible Sites coming Fall 2020:  SW Missouri – Branson area  and Western Iowa
